Grab Me Some Milk From The...Pantry?! {Giveaway}

I've heard of shelf stable milk before but never really gave it much thought. I assumed it would taste different than regular milk and didn't know why I would need it. Then Milk Unleashed sent me some samples for my family to try...and now I get it!
Milk Unleashed combines the nutrition and great taste of milk with the convenience of a recyclable Tetra Pak. The milk is from the same source as regular milk...the only difference is how it's heated and packaged. There's no need to refrigerate Milk Unleashed until after it's opened and it will maintain it's taste and nutrients. It really is all the yummy goodness of milk without the fridge!

Now that I've discovered Milk Unleashed, I can send healthy milk in my kids school lunches without worrying about it spoiling before lunchtime. Everyone in my family agrees that it tastes the same as our regular milk and the kids are drinking more milk than ever now. I don't know why, but kids really seem to like single servings and it's nice to see them choose milk over juice. Milk Unleashed even makes shelf stable chocolate milk. My son loves to halfway freeze a single serve chocolate milk and call it a milkshake!

I love that we can keep a few larger packages in the pantry so we never run out of milk! Between cereal and making protein shakes, my husband uses tons of milk and I was always finding a tiny drop left in the carton when I went to do some cooking. Now I just go to the pantry and can get on with the making supper without running to the store for milk. Remember once the milk is opened, you do need to refrigerate it.

With the holiday season upon us, we keep a few single serve packs in the car to refuel while we're out power shopping and dropping off gifts to friends. This year, we will even be leaving Milk Unleashed out with Santa's cookies...no more worrying about the milk spoiling before he makes it to our house. Visit the Milk Unleashed website to download a holiday themed wrap to make Santa's milk even more special!

  2. I like the tip: Heat up chocolate flavoured milks to make hot chocolate, rather than the packets that require hot water. Never thought of doing that before! (Judy Cowan)

  5. Adding milk to fruit yogurt is an awesome idea. It's way cheaper than the premade yogurt drinks and you can have a larger serving as well.

  9. Using milk instead of water for soups. I always do this with soups like cream of mushroom, tomato, cream of chicken etc. I never use water.

  10. Opt for cereal with milk for breakfast. Let kids use a straw to drink up the milk in the bowl after the cereal is gone.
