Life Update

I know I haven't been posting much lately. In the past couple of weeks we had a garage break-in and then a car break-in so I've been busy dealing with police reports and such. When our garage was broken into they managed to steal a few thousand dollars worth of my husbands tools but thankfully the police caught who did it and recovered most of the tools and after lots of time, stress and hassle we now have most of what was lost back.

My car was broken into when I parked it on the street overnight (which I never do, I don't know what I was thinking!). They smashed the window and were inside but didn't take anything. There was plenty in there including some cash and a portable GPS but they left everything. Thankfully my hubby is handy and was able to get a replacement window for $30 and install it himself. I have definitely learned my lesson about parking on the street and leaving things in my car! We have lived here for almost 6 years and have never had a single problem so this has kind of shaken me up.

Anyway, I hope all the drama is over and I will be back to posting more regularly tomorrow. Don't forget to enter the Cheerios giveaway!

  1. My car was broken into once in an underground garage. They smashed my side window and rummaged through my car and took I thought. I went to do groceries on the weekend and my reusable bags that were in the trunk were taken. Morons!!! My replacement window cost me over $ deducible would have cost me $500 to go through insurance. Nice eh? I drive a 2003 Chevy Cavalier. I was parked between a Mercedes and a BMW. Pick on the little people.

  2. I am so sorry to hear that, sounds like you had a rough couple of weeks. But i am glad you got most of your things back and it didn't cost you to much money.

  3. The damage is not all financial, there is a lot of emotional damage done in a breakin. Do not blame yourself.

Thanks for stopping by! I'd love to hear what you have to say. *NOTE- Comments may not appear right away due to my moderation settings.
