Great Promo At EdenFantasys

This post is intended for those 18+

Right now EdenFantasys has a great promotion going on. They are offering 25% off massage and body care products! This includes massage oils, lip products, body paint, make-up, candles and so much more.

One of my favorite products included in the promo is the Holiday Handful Trio. This is a set of three Cake hand cremes. They leave your hands soft and the scented varieties smell amazing. This set does include one unscented hand creme which is nice for when you don't want the scent but still want the softness.

Another product I own that's part of the 25% off sale is the Sex in the Shower mirror. My husband uses this mirror almost everyday to shave while in the shower. This fogless mirror has a suction cup that sticks to the wall so it is super easy to use and it stays put. We have had it for months and it's never fallen down. It also has a flexible handle so it can easily be moved out of the way when not in use.

Sex toys - EdenFantasys adult toys storeSome other favorites included in this sale are the Honey Dust and the Lelo Massage Oil. Both are fantastic products that I use regularly and it's great to get them on sale. Check out all the items included in this promo from EdenFantasys. You may find some old favorites on sale or be tempted to try something new!

March Break Plans #KINDERMom

Since both my kids are school-aged, March Break is kind of a big deal at our house. As soon as Christmas break is over, we start looking forward to the week long break leading into spring. This year we will be staying near home so my boys are each getting to choose how we will spend one day of the break.

My oldest chose a day at World Water Park at West Edmonton Mall, an amazing indoor water park with tons of slides and a huge wave pool. I love the water park because you never have to worry about weather ruining your day. It's always balmy in there! My youngest decided he wanted to spend a day at the zoo - no surprise as he is a real animal lover. It will be fun to visit with the animals again but the weather can be unpredictable in Edmonton so hopefully it cooperates.

So that's two awesome days filled with fun. We will also be going ice skating once or twice and probably head to the movies sometime during the week. The rest of our time will be spent at home playing some games (both video and board), hanging out in the backyard and making crafts. I'm guessing there will be a Kinder Egg or two eaten that week as well!

What are your plans for March Break? If you could use a little extra cash to make the break extra special, visit the Kinder Canada facebook page and check out the My Kinder Moments application for a chance at winning $500! While you're there why not join the conversation.

I'm a ShesConnected Adult Essentials Brand Ambassador!

As you may have heard, I've been chosen as an Adult Essentials Brand Ambassador. Yay!! Adult Essentials is the first complete line of government approved and licensed gummy vitamins specifically designed for adults. They are made with high quality ingredients, contain no artificial flavours or colours and are approved by Health Canada. Not to mention, they are all gluten, nut and dairy free.

When I first heard about gummy vitamins for adults, I thought it sounded a little silly but then I thought about why I wasn't taking vitamins regularly. Because I can't swallow regular vitamins. Sometimes I have trouble getting down an aspirin so vitamins are pretty much out of the question. Suddenly gummy vitamins for adults seemed like a brilliant idea!

This past week I visited the vitamin aisle at my local Real Canadian Superstore while doing my weekly grocery run. At first I thought I would have trouble finding the Adult Essentials on the giant wall of vitamins but the brightly coloured boxes made them stand out. Each product in the line has a different coloured box making it very easy to distinguish between them and choose the right product for you. With the huge selection of vitamins available at most stores, it is nice to be able to narrow it down so easily.

As I mentioned earlier, I have always had trouble taking vitamins because of the size of the pills but since discovering Adult Essentials I am taking my vitamins regularly and loving it. They are not only easy to swallow but they taste great!

You can connect with Adult Essentials on their facebook page and on twitter.

*Disclosure - I am participating in the Adult Essentials Blogger Outreach program by ShesConnected. I received a supply of vitamins and compensation in exchange for my participation in this campaign. The opinions on this blog are my own.

Partying With Oscar

The Oscars are just days away. Do you watch? I don't usually but this year a new friend has invited me over for an Oscar party. I have never been to a Oscar party before so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect but my friend says it's mostly an excuse to have some girl talk and eat - I'm in!

After hearing some of the foods that others are bringing, I decided I wanted to contribute something sweet but not too filling and I think I have found the perfect recipe in my Pillsbury Kids Cookbook. Cinnamon Twisties is a super easy recipe and the result is a light, flaky delight. All you need is:

1 can of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
1 Tbsp butter
2 Tsp cinnamon sugar blend

If you don't have any cinnamon sugar blend simply mix together 3/4 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Here are the instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees and spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  • Now you just unroll the tube of crescent roll dough and seal up the perforations with your fingers. Press the dough into a rectangle about 12" by 7".
  • Melt the butter and brush it onto the dough.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar blend evenly over the entire rectangle of dough .
  • Use a pizza cutter to cut it into twelve (12) 1" strips that are 7" long. Now cut each of those strips in half making twenty four (24) 3 1/2" strips.
  • Twist each strip as you place them on the cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire cooling rack and let cool about 5 minutes before eating.
So easy and so delicious! If you're hosting or attending an Oscar (or any other) party, Life Made Delicious has lots of party food ideas to inspire you.

Oh and if you still need to catch a few of the Oscar nominated films be sure to check out the amazing Cineplex offers on specially marked General Mills products!

Life Update

I know I haven't been posting much lately. In the past couple of weeks we had a garage break-in and then a car break-in so I've been busy dealing with police reports and such. When our garage was broken into they managed to steal a few thousand dollars worth of my husbands tools but thankfully the police caught who did it and recovered most of the tools and after lots of time, stress and hassle we now have most of what was lost back.

My car was broken into when I parked it on the street overnight (which I never do, I don't know what I was thinking!). They smashed the window and were inside but didn't take anything. There was plenty in there including some cash and a portable GPS but they left everything. Thankfully my hubby is handy and was able to get a replacement window for $30 and install it himself. I have definitely learned my lesson about parking on the street and leaving things in my car! We have lived here for almost 6 years and have never had a single problem so this has kind of shaken me up.

Anyway, I hope all the drama is over and I will be back to posting more regularly tomorrow. Don't forget to enter the Cheerios giveaway!

Let's Love Our Hearts in February (w/ Giveaway)

My husband and I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day. I may be able to squeeze a mid-week massage out of him but that's about as romantic as it's gonna get at our house next Tuesday. However, I love making it a special day for my kids. They always wake up to a special treat on Valentine's Day and we have something to fit the "heart" theme for dinner or dessert. This year we are going with a heart shaped pizza recipe. With only four ingredients, this recipe is as easy as it gets and perfect to make with the kids!

Ingredients:
1 can Pillsbury* Refrigerated Pizza Crust
1 cup (250 mL) pizza sauce
24 slices pepperoni
1 cup (250 mL) shredded mozzarella cheese

-If using classic crust: Heat oven to 425ºF. Lightly spray or grease large cookie sheet.
-Unroll dough on work surface. With sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut dough into 4 rectangles. Place rectangles on cookie sheet. Cut 1-inch slit in centre of wide edge of each dough portion; on opposite wide edge across from slit, pinch dough together to shape point of heart. Slightly separate each cut slit, and gently press dough into a 6x5-inch heart, creating slight rim on edge of dough.
-Divide pizza sauce evenly onto hearts, spreading to within 1/2 inch of edges. Top each with 6 slices pepperoni and 1/4 cup cheese.
-Bake 13 to 16 minutes or until crust edges are golden brown and cheese is melted.

I did a test run today and it turned out great. I left out the pepperoni and cut the crust off after cooking as that's my pizza preference. You could also add any sort of veggies you like. I can't wait to make these with the kids on Valentine's Day.

By now, I'm sure you know that February is not only the month of love but it's also Heart Month. I mentioned the new Cheerios.ca website in my last Life Made Delicious Connector post. Have you checked it out yet? There is tons of information there to help you improve you heart health. This month Cheerios is also launching a new family-sized box of Chocolate Cheerios!

Wow, Cheerios is having a busy month...and they want you to get in on the action so they have offered a fantastic Heart Month Giveaway for my readers. One lucky reader will win a Cheerios Heart Month prize pack which includes a set of four heart shaped bowls, Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios and the new family sized Chocolate Cheerios! Enter below by following the directions on the rafflecopter form.

It All Starts With Yes!

My sons are do-ers. They love creating things and learning new skills. They like to be involved in what's going on. They are always coming up with creative ideas for things to do but I'm not always up for it. Even though I love hanging out with my kids, sometimes I'm tired or busy and sometimes I just want to avoid the mess.

Apparently, I'm not alone - a recent national survey found 64% of moms regularly say no to their children when they ask to do something together. Proctor & Gamble's Family Care brands (Bounty®, Charmin®, Puffs® along with Tide® and Mr. Clean®) want to encourage you to start saying yes to your kids, so they have issued the It All Starts With Yes Challenge.

The Challenge: It’s easy -- count the number of times you say ‘no’ in any given week or weekend, and then turn them into “Yes” opportunities. The result:  more fun activities together such as baking, games, and arts and crafts!

Over the past week, I've made a point of saying "Yes" and it has been great. Sure, it takes longer and is messier when my 7 year-old is helping me put a fresh coat of paint on his toy box but the pride he feels and the memories we make are well worth it!

If you're ready to start saying "Yes" head on over to the It All Starts With Yes facebook page and take a look around. There are ideas and coupons to get you started and there's even a contest! You can create a Yes Pass for various activities you pledge to do with your kids. For each Pass you create, you are entered to win a Yes Kit. When you follow through on the pledge, you can redeem the Yes Pass for an entry into the grand prize draw for $10,000 towards a dream family adventure! Imagine the adventure you could have with that!

In order to encourage me and my readers to start saying "Yes" more often, I received a Yes Kit to keep and another to give away. This kit includes Tide® original liquid laundry detergent, a Mr. Clean® Magic Eraser, box of Puffs® facial tissue,Charmin® Freshmates, Bounty® paper towel, and  adult and child-size aprons - some great products to get your creative juices flowing and to help clean up afterwards! If you want a chance to win, enter on the rafflecopter form below. And don't forget to like It All Starts With Yes on facebook.

Lady and the Tramp is Out of the Vault

Lady and the Tramp is being released on DVD and Blu-Ray combo pack on February 7th. This is the first time the classic Disney story will be available on Blu-Ray and it's a great opportunity to introduce your children to the lovable characters you've known since you were a child.

A classic love story unfolds in the best Disney tradition as a lovely young pedigreed cocker spaniel named Lady, who lives a pampered life, finds herself falling romantically for Tramp, an amorous street-smart pooch without prospects. Although they have fun together on several dates, including a sentimental spaghetti dinner by moonlight at Tony’s restaurant, their relationship is strained not only by Lady’s loyalty to her human family and their newborn baby, but by Tramp’s devil-may-care attitude that eventually gets Lady in trouble and tossed into the dog pound. However, good-hearted Tramp redeems himself by saving the baby from potential harm and thus wins Lady’s love and the affection of her human family.

Disney has sent me a bunch of fun Lady and the Tramp themed activities to share with you guys. There are coloring pages, craft instructions, valentines cards and more! Visit this link to download the activities.

Cheerios Celebrates Heart Month

February is almost here and you know what that means; love is in the air and hearts are on our minds. February is Heart Month - that short little month when we are reminded that our tickers need love too!

Just in time for Heart Month, Cheerios.ca has launched. This new website is a great source for heart health information. There is lots of info on there to help you understand and control cholesterol along with recipes and lifestyle tips. High blood cholesterol is a major risk factor for heart disease so we all need to take steps to lower cholesterol. Both Original and Honey Nut Cheerios contain an ingredient that can help us do that naturally.

If you're looking for new ways to enjoy Cheerios, you can find lots of inspiration at Cheerios Recipe Central. My son recently tried the Crunchy Frozen Bananas recipe. He used Chocolate Cheerios because that's what we had on hand but the recipe was so easy he did it all by himself!

Ingredients:
4 firm ripe bananas
8 wooden sticks with rounded ends
1-1 1/2 cups (250-375 mL) low-fat yogurt (any flavour)
3 cups (750 mL) CHEERIOS* cereal

Cover baking sheet with waxed paper. Peel bananas; cut bananas crosswise in half. Insert wooden stick into cut end of each banana. Roll in yogurt, sprinkle with cereal. Place on baking sheet. Freeze about 1 hour or until firm. Wrap each banana in plastic wrap or foil. Store in freezer.
How do you keep your heart healthy? One of the things I've been doing is planning my snacks. When I'm prepared with a well-stocked snack cupboard and fruit drawer, I will grab a few almonds and a tangerine. When I'm not prepared, I am much more likely to run to the corner store and grab a bag of potato chips! I would love to hear any heart healthy tips you have to share.
